Our Top 10 Favorite Fall Fashion Picks

Our Top 10 Favorite Fall Fashion Picks

The weather is turning colder, the lattes are turning pumpkiny, and before you know it it’ll be Halloween! Autumn is in the air, and that means fall fashion trends are in full swing.

As you get ready to score some big sales this autumn, keep an eye out for these trending fashion items to keep your business on trend and eye-catching!

1) Elevated Athleisure and Loungewear

This is a BIG one this autumn. Stocking up on athletic and loungewear is a very safe bet for your business, as we’re all still (relatively) safe and sound stuck at home heading into the holiday season. Some folks have gotten a little too comfy in quarantine--and they’re taking that comfort to the streets! You’ll see lots of comfort wear taken up a notch by adding chic shoes, chunky chain jewelry, and more. Thank goodness for that, because we all have invested a bit more than usual in comfy loungewear this year. Pair a pair of fitted leggings with an oversized, cozy sweater and you’re good to go!

2) Sweater vests

Sure, we say it’s fall...but in many places, the thermostat is still pushing 90º. Sweater vests  are a surefire way to get the best of both worlds--the coziness of sweaters, but with still keeping you cool! The best part is that there’s such a range of sweater vest styles, there’s something for everyone in Fall 2020. Whether your style sense is more of the classic V-neck, argyle vest, or a more funky slouchy vibe, you’ll be hitting the mark either way this autumn!

3) Plaid

Ahhh, plaid. A quintessential backdrop of fall for decades, and it never really seems to go out of style does it? Fall 2020 fashion is no exception--plaid is everywhere, from cute dresses to cozy sweaters. Picking up a plaid skirt suit (double trend!) is a surefire way to look on-trend and stylish.

4)  80s/90s Nostalgia

Fanny packs, retro sneakers, and graphic tees -- the 80s and 90s are back and they’re here to stay (for now). Mom jeans, oversized denim, bucket hats, oh my! If it’s from 20-30 years ago, you’re good to go.

5) Chunky Boots

No stiletto heels for me, thanks -- these boots are here to kick butt and take names! This fall, chunky soled boots like the Chelsea boot are very on trend, and a great piece to incorporate into your collection. These shoes are versatile and comfortable, and have the added bonus of intimidating the heck out of your enemies. 2020 is just that kind of year.

6) Puff sleeves

Puffy sleeves have been huge all year (no pun intended), and this fall is no different. Puff-sleeved sweaters are sure to hit the mark, lending a cute and stylish twist to your cozy fall garb. This fall 2020 style trend a little something extra to otherwise blasé crewneck sweaters and turtlenecks, so you can keep things simple while still keeping your wardrobe up to date.

7) Cerulean

Since Pantone named “Classic Blue” the 2020 color of the year, it’s pretty unsurprising how many shades of blue we’ve seen this year. For fall 2020, stick to a clear blue Cerulean to stay on trend! It’s such a beautiful, eye-catching color that can be paired with a wide variety of other garments.

8) Tiered dresses

Always wished you could walk around looking like a layer cake? Great news! Tiered dresses and skirts are big news for the Fall 2020 style season. Tiered dresses are great for that transition between summer and fall, with the light flouncy material that will keep you cool while transitioning into more coverage and layers.

9) Chunky Chains

The name of the game is simplicity. Adding a chunky chain to your outfit as a necklace or detail on a handbag is an easy way to update your wardrobe. These on trend items can make an outfit look cooler and more polished instantly. Worth an investment if you ask me! Try tossing on a chain over your basics or athleisure wear and no one on your Zoom call will guess you just woke up from a nap 2 minutes ago, we promise.

10) Safety, but make it fashion

Fashion changes like the weather, but one thing that will always be on trend is staying safe and taking care of yourself. Just because you need to cover your mouth and nose though, doesn’t mean you can’t express yourself! Don’t be afraid to show off your own unique style when it comes to your protective facemask. Many brands are getting on board and bringing us fashionable twists on these protective devices. Stay safe out there!
